A free adult dental clinic will be held in Winston-Salem, Friday and Saturday, November 14-5. It will be at the Winston-Salem Fairground’s education building, 421 West 27th Street. Services include teeth cleaning, extractions, fillings and partial denture construction.

There will be about 80 dental chairs, and the group hopes to serve more than 1,000 patients. Around 600 volunteers  are needed to take health histories, blood pressures, greet people, etc.. The volunteers will work in 6 hour blocks (preferably) 6am-12pm and 12pm-6pm and bilingual volunteers are in high demand.

People seeking dental services are encouraged to arrive early. Most people begin forming lines around midnight.

The clinic is being put on by the North Carolina Missions of Mercy (NCMOM). NCMOM is a “portable, free-to-the-patient, dental program which is an outreach program of the North Carolina Dental Society.” According to their website, NCMOM has donated more than $29 million in dental services to more than 200,000 North Carolinians.

FaithHealthNC Navigators will also be on site on the 15th helping individuals enroll in the health insurance exchange, since the date falls concurrently with the first day of open enrollment.
